Born Andrea Jean Flammia, JIAYA, an acronym for Jesus in All Your Areas, is a deliverance ministry which spreads the Gospel of Jesus Christ to this very eclectic generation through hip hop, dance, and everything in between—all while maintaining the integrity of the Word of God. Holding wide-ranging credits as a recording artist, producer, choreographer, and VJ, the vision of this ministry is limitless in that it does not seek to have only a domestic impact but one which extends around the globe.

JIAYA’s ministry began with a journey to not only know Christ but also accept the work of the Cross for her own salvation and deliverance. But long before her destiny would be made discernible to her, JIAYA undoubtedly encountered interminable series of unfortunate events. Raised in the westernmost part of Connecticut in the city of Waterbury, JIAYA’s less than favorable upbringing was plagued with the likes of domestic violence and sexual abuse which included molestation. Because of these circumstances, home was never home but a warzone to say the least. And even though she always had such a strong love for the Lord and a desire to follow him wholeheartedly, she was never granted the exposure to the Word of God to make it applicable in her life. Therefore, she turned to that which she knew and loved—music and dance.

The hip-hop communities surrounding the streets of Waterbury, New Haven, and New York were places JIAYA would escape her ill-fated reality to utilize her superlative talents in rhyme, dance, and song. However, the pain of a broken life unremittingly awaited her. It wasn’t until she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior that the miracle-working power of and presence of God was able to manifest and—for the first time in her life—begin to utterly heal the wounds and agonies of her unfortunate past.

Undeniably a survivor, a conqueror, and a fearless warrior in the body of Christ, JIAYA now uses her talents of various styles from hardcore hip hop to an eclectic fusion of underground and mainstream house/club with rave, techno, and hip hop influences in an effort to reach those who are lost longing to be found, the bound longing to be free, the utterly rejected longing for acceptance, the broken longing to be mended, and those with desires to be in the presence of God but see not a representative of themselves in the church and have been wrongfully shied away rather than rightfully welcomed. In other words, this very unique ministry is intended for all those who yearn to be safely secured and sheltered by the love of God and held tightly in His righteous right hand. As an artist who thinks outside the box, she is indisputably one of Couffe Music’s hottest and rising stars. She not only teaches break dancing and hip hop classes for all ages at The Bridge CT located in Danbury, CT, but she also hosts JIAYA Praise Around the World—a television program bringing to audiences everywhere the latest, the greatest, and the hottest in praise.
